Resilience is Recession-Proof

It seems I’ve run into my first bit of turbulence as an entrepreneur.  I must say, things have been going fairly smoothly up to this point- all things relative.  However, going through the site for the last couple of days, we aren’t quite there yet.  Everything looks great, and we are certainly on track to release a stellar website, but I can’t release my baby to the world until we’ve got some of the kinks worked out.

I realize the site will not be perfect when we Go Live- that is why websites iterate and iterate as quickly as they do.  However, for the first unveiling to the world, theNew2Do has to meet my standards, which are very high.

I must say that things are going well.  I still love what I am doing and don’t even mind too much that its 2:20AM, and I’ve been working since about 10AM.

The good news, which you can find on TheNew2Do Blog, is that I don’t think we’ll have to push back the Going Live date too much.  Hopefully we won’t have to push it back at all, but I’d like to give myself a bit of a cushion in case we run into any unforeseen obstacles.

There are two things I am most upset about, however.

1. This was the first promise that I have made to anyone in terms of delivering something.  I understand I probably care more about this than anyone else, but in my opinion, to be a good businessman, you should deliver what you promise.  However, some things are simply out of your control, so you must do the best with the opportunities and resources you have.  So to any of you anxiously waiting for the Beta release, please accept my apologies.
2. I was excited to start using theNew2Do!  I cannot wait until theNew2Do is up and running so I can find some awesome stuff to do.  I can’t wait to start using the site, so trust me, there is no one who wants to release the site more than I do.

With all of that being said, it’s getting late, and tomorrow should be a pretty busy day.  Like I always say, this is crunch time, time to find out what I’m made of.  I will not quit.  I will not let anything stop me.  TheNew2Do will be here soon enough.
